One Day

I have quite a few posts to post. Of only the camera, the internet, the computer and I could all coordinate.

Meanwhile I hope another post of cute boy stories from my phone will satisfy.

Little H cracks me up with his own personal name pronunciations. Like he calls Buzz and Woody, from Toy Story, "Buddy". And, while shopping at Wal-Mart, he pointed to a Winnie the Pooh toy and said, "Look! Its Buck a Pooh!"
It made me laugh

Little H was all distraught about finding his Dash toy before bedtime. I was helping him look all over the bathroom for it. I was amazed at how well he understood and talked while he searched.
First it was, "Where's Dash? Is he in the toilet. Huh! Mom, Dash is in the toilet!"
We confirmed he wasn't. He continued to look under toys and in the bathtub.
"Is he down the drain? Mom! Dash went down the drain!"
We confirmed that was not true either. I rinsed my hands off in the sink and he pointed to it and said, "Is he in the water? Dash is in the water?"
Finally, he had to retire to bed. I eventually found his Dash toy, in the living room.

Big H has kept me entertained too. He's still way into super heroes. He always asks, "Who's that?"
"That's Green Lantern."
"I'm Green Lantern."
"What's that?"
"That's Batman's symbol."
"I'm symbol."
"What's that?"
"That's a weapon he uses to get bad guys."
"I'm bad guys."
He does this with a lot if things: superheroes, movie characters, almost everything. Sometimes he'll only answer to the current super hero he is at the time. And if you guess wrong he'll let you know.
"I'm not Sash(Flash). I'm Green Lantern."
He also has a nasty habit of pulling down his pants to show which superhero he's wearing that day. Seriously! We'll be at the store and I'll look over to see Big H, with his pants down, admiring his underwear. We need to get some shirts for him to admire.

Big H is the king of drama. The Saturday before memorial day, we were heading to Day Out With Thomas. Big H wanted to put the flag up. I said, "OK, but its going to rain so we'll have to take it down."
Next thing I know I'm involved in an argument about how its not raining, how it is raining and, "Why are we going to see Thomas!"
I said, "Why don't you go talk to your father because we're obviously not connecting."
He said, "I'm not father! I'm Big H!" Except he said his name.

We had a busy weekend last week and I kept trying to get the boys to leave Grandma's house.
"Come on we need to go. Grandpa and Grandma are tired."
Big H looked at me, hands on hips, and said, "I'm tired too!"

The twins like to help me clean. Whenever I pull out a rag and cleaner they are right there, rags in hand, saying, "I help!"
They helped me mop their floor the other day. I tried hard to ignore the buckets of water being spilled everywhere.
When I moved to the playroom Big H said, "Hey, what you doing in my house?"
I ran upstairs to get something, and when I  came back he was cutely cleaning the playroom window with his rag. All by himself. I was a proud mama. Even if the window didnt get any cleaner.

Baby M has started to say, "Sorry". A word he's asked to say a lot. He also says, "Daddy" and "Mama". He picks up on things so quickly. He knows to put cans in the recycling, and he picks up his wrappers. They usually end up the sink, but thats OK. He's pretty darn cute. Even when he drives us crazy.

Sorry I haven't updated on some of our bigger adventures lately. Hopefully I can get to it some day.

It's Splash Pad Season

The boys and I took our first trip, of the season, to the splash pad. The twins had a blast. Baby M hardly got wet. But he did enjoy doing Baby M- ish things: walking up to strangers and smiling, climbing up on things, wondering around at a distance that makes his mother uncomfortable.

As we were leaving Little H pointed at thr cranes, across the way, and said, "LOOK! It's Cranky!"-- a Thomas. . .character.

I quite enjoyed our little visit this week. I look forward to many more splash pads adventures.

UVU Carshow

On the 19th we went with my dad to the UVU car show, down at Thanksgiving Point.

The twins were way excited this year, especially Little H. He kept saying, "I want to go see the cars!"

Big H was excited because we pointed out a motorcycle that could've been owned by the Dark Knight himself, Batman.

Baby M was happy to just run around.

Craig was excited about the Japanese Cars. He especially liked the Japanese Firetruck we saw.

I enjoyed the fact that Craig could actually join us this year.

The kids all enjoyed seeing a truck with a fish pond in the bed.

Everyone had a good time just enjoying all the great classic cars.

Thanks for the fun outing Dad!

More Cute Boy Stories

Sorry these posts are probably boring for everyone. I just want to get these written down.

I was talking on the phone with a friend and the boys were being very noisy. I walked out of the room and they followed me. When I got off the phone I  exclaimed, "My gosh you guys!"
Big H said, "I'm not guys mommy. I'm Big H." Only he said his name.

Big H loves superheroes. He is constantly imitating them. "I'm Batman! I'm Iron Man!" Sound effects and all.
His sandals are now Batman's sandals. His bike is Batman's bike.
He argues with Little H all the time. "I'm Batman. You're Superman!"
He asked me to put in his cape the other day. He turned around, stuck his arms out to the side and made a "suiting up" sound effect. I then commenced with putting his cape on.
Yes, he loves superheroes

Big H likes to correct me now. The other day we were gardening. Big H asked me what the small shovel was. I said, "It's a spade."
"It's not a spade. It's a spade."
He does this all the time.
"It's not cheese mommy. Its cheese."

At the park the other day Big H was swinging. He said, "Where's my M."
He said Baby M's name.
"He's right here."
I picked him up.
"I want my M. Please! I want my M."

Every time I make a frustrated groan lately Big H goes, " What happened?"

I warmed up leftovers for the boys dinner tonight, and Big H requested the mac and cheese. I scooped out servings for each boy and told them to come and eat. I walked back to my room and found Big H, in the bedroom. He was eating the mac and cheese out if the rubbermaid container, using the big serving spoon as his utensil.

Today the boys were listening to music on my phone. "Part of Your World", from The Little Mermaid, came on. Little H said, "Its Ariel! Ariel's on the phone!"

The boys hate ants. They probably get it from their mother. I HATE ants!!! Anyway. . .they are always trying to rid the world of ants. And I'm always pulling them out of ant piles telling them, "Just leave them alone. If you try to smash them you'll just end up with them crawling all over and biting you."
A lesson I learned, while stomping down an ant hill, at my Grandma's house, when I was a little girl.
Well, ants have built up homes all over our yard. And the newest joint is a crack in our driveway. The boys caught sight of this and began to attack. Stomping their feet, and swinging their superhero capes, they began their attack on the tiny, creepy, crawly creatures.
I pulled them away and gave them a brush off, just for safe measure. And I then explained the rules for ants again and asked them to stop, which they did.
A few minutes later Little H came out, saw the ants once again and said, in a horrified tone, "LOOK! It's the beans!!!"
I think that is a combination if bees and ants.

We walked to the park the other day and we had to cross a busy street. When we got to the other side I realized that Baby M, who was seated in the stroller, had been waving to all the cars as we crossed.

Baby M likes to get, and give loves. He's been grabbing my head. And turning it to look at him. Sometimes he gives me hugs. Sometimes he wants a kiss. His kisses are usually open mouthed. The other day he even stuck his tongue out as he pulled me in for a nice slobbery kiss.

The other night Craig took the twins to a Father/Sons activity. I took Baby M to visit my Grandma G. I started to show her some of the thing he's learned.
"Go 'Toot! Toot!'"
"Hold up one finger."
He sat on my lap and commenced in waves, kisses and "toot toots".
It's as if he were saying, "These are all the things they make me show people, so I'll just go ahead and get it over with."

I pointed this butterfly out to the boys. Big H said, "Let's go see it mom. Let's go see it."
We walked over and took some pics. He then drug me over every time it came back.

Revenge of the Baby

I took the boys to the park and Baby M wondered off a little far. I asked Little H to go fetch his brother to which he said, "No!"

"Here, go get him and you can have a treat."

He was still not happy with the terms.

"Oh, never mind he's walking back."

I forget about the situation for a minute. Next thing I know Little H is tackling Baby M to the ground, on the concrete, just yards from where I was sitting. I was all prepared to take disciplinary action when Little H looks at me and says, "I get a treat?"

Apparently the negotiating terms of earlier were still on the table. I felt so bad. He thought he was helping. I told him not to tackle him next time.

Well Baby M did not forgive so easily. The next day I stepped outside to check on the boys. I found Little H screaming, "No! No! Nooo!"

I then saw Baby M, holding a rock, smiling like he's playing some game.

I scream,"No!"

Baby M chucks the rock right at Little H's head. I was in shock!

Disciplinary actions were taken that time.

"Push My Bum!"

Big H loves to swing. He looks a little scared here because daddy pushed him really high. When he swings he yells, "Push my bum!"

I finally interpreted Super Harold. The boys love this show called "Super Hero Squad". One night Big H asked to watch, " Super Harolds."

Ah-ha! Harold = Hero. It all makes sense now.

I have to laugh a little every time Little H asks for the super hero show. It sounds a little like "stupid heroes".

Family Project

The other day we drove up to Alpine to get some free gravel. It was free as long as we were willing to shovel it.

The boys did great and they all wanted to pitch in and help. Not that their help was always helpful, but I still thought it was cute.

Big H is wearing the cape. Little H is playing with the train.

Such cute boys and such good helpers!
