Our Thanksgiving

We started out the week by getting our trees up.

We put up our family tree. This year Craig wanted to make a popcorn garland.

Then we put the boys tree up. We made a Fruit Loop garland for their tree. They even helped. Well, Little H actually put some Fruit Loops on the string and the others just ate them.

We were getting all ready to spend Thanksgiving with my family, at my Aunt Salonna's house, when I came to the realization that Craig's work schedule would not work at all for the party. So we planned our own Thanksgiving. We invited Grandpa D. but he didn't want to come, so we swung by and visited him after.

Here's our little turkey on Thanksgiving Day.

Here we are sitting down to our own little Thanksgiving.

The boys were perfect. The food was good, and the day was just kind of sweet and nice. The whole thing was just wonderful. We all enjoyed ourselves, and enjoyed a lovely, perfect moment in our crazy lives.

Craig took a picture of his food because he was so impressed with his wife's cooking ;)

Afterwards I headed to my Aunt's with my parents, and Craig went back to work. It wasn't long until they let him off, and he got to come and join us though. Here's the fruit tray I made for the party. I was rather impressed with myself.

After dinner Craig and I enjoyed our traditional Black Friday shopping.

Thanksgiving this year was so nice. I enjoyed being with just my family, and I enjoyed being at my Aunt Salonna's. Everything was wonderful and I appreciate everything that everyone did to make this day happen.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

November Happenings

I'm a little behind on my blogging.

In November before we gave thanks we had a few other celebrations. Nephew Big P got baptized. We didn't make it to the Baptism, but we were there for the confirmation. And we joined them at the party afterward.

They had a fun little movie themed party. It was so much fun!

Then my birthday rolled around-- sadly. I really didn't want it to show it's ugly face this year. Honestly, I've had to ask for so much help from my parents, and others, that I just didn't want to have a day set aside where people would make a fuss and buy me presents. I just sort of felt like so much had been done for me that I hadn't really earned a day of fun and special treatment. But it came. My mom took me shopping and out to lunch the day before my birthday. And then when I told her we had no money, and probably wouldn't be doing anything special on the actual day, she went out and bought a cake, balloons and pizza.

Seriously, my parents do way too much. They've already given me a birthday ten fold this year, and yet they still go to the trouble of giving me a special day. They do too much.

I also got spoiled by my sister-in-law, who gave me a Maverick mug with a bunch of candy bars in it. And then Craig's parents came up and his mom brought me a lovely little bath set for our, soon to be, master bathroom. It was just so sweet of everyone to go out of their way to make me feel special. Thanks for all the Birthday fun and wishes!

Aunt Jessica teaching Little M naughty things ;)

So that's our big November events. Aside from Thanksgiving-- I'll post about that on it's own. Can you believe it's December now? If only time moved as slow as my blog updates. To end here's a pic of all my boys in their Sunday best. I love this pic!
