Blogging Crazy Style

With editing, and writing drafts and such, the posts have gotten a little out of a order. So scroll down and click back to some older posts if you want to be sure to catch them all. Sorry for all the posts and craziness. I need to stay on top of it :).

Another 1st Birthday

Baby S's first baby was such a nice day. It was full of stress, but still nice. We have been so busy that we didn't have the time we needed to get as ready for the party as I wanted. So we were kind of racing the clock. Then, to make things worse, my foot got injured the Saturday before. I thought it was going to swell and be useless. But, with the help of oils, it was better within a couple days.

Even with the craziness the day was great. I got upset with the kids here and there, and the stress got to me a little, but still it ended up being a nice party and a nice night.

The boys helped me make the poster. It had to include drawings of superheroes, and then Big H drew the wind that was hitting our house outside.

We went with a Japanese theme for his party. We didn't get the lanterns we wanted in time, and we never came up with Japanese themed games, but it was still fun. We had great food.

And we had great friends and family to share this day with us.

Baby S was perfect that day. He was so happy, took all his naps, and when it came time to eat cake he dug right in.

We did a pumpkin roll cake because Craig said it looked like sushi-- and Craig really likes pumpkin roll.

Then we opened gifts. Everyone was so generous. Baby S got a whole new wardrobe.

I can't believe he's 1. I can't believe I raised another baby through the first year. Its so crazy to me that we have a fourth kid and he is now a year old. Happy Birthday Baby S!

Hope you had a good 1st Birthday!

The next day, since Baby S was now 1, we gave everyone haircuts. I was so sad to cut his hair. Even though it was crazy long it has sort of become is trademark.

With his new do he looks so much like Little M. I took a pic of them side by side because i can't believe how much they look alike.

Nothing Compares to a Man in Uniform

The other day, after cleaning for my mom. The boys and I got into the pool. Swimming in a downpour seems to be the theme this summer

I was completely blown away when a handsome young man came walking into my parents backyard. It took my breath away.

The boys got so excited about grasshoppers that day because while I was opening the pool one jumped in their faces. To stop the screaming and crying I encouraged them to take a closer look to see that it wasn't scary. Here's Craig showing them a grasshopper.

LIttle M's Birthday

For Little M's birthday we decided to go out on the boat on Labor Day. But I thought we could enjoy some cake and ice cream in the park on the Sunday before just so we could celebrate the actual day. Well that ended up being a mess. The boys were so disobedient that day that I just cracked. It's so hard when you put effort into trying to do something fun, and you're so excited to see the joy on their faces, and they just won't stop fighting and won't listen. While at the park waiting to see if anyone would show Little M stole a kids toy, and I had to chase him down and make him give it back. I told him I was just going to cancel his party. Some friends made it to the celebration,-- so grateful they came-- but it got dark way sooner than I thought. By the time we lit the candles and sang happy birthday there was no light for pictures and no camera to take them with. Then at home the kids still threw fits so I took all the gifts and put them up.

We got a Spiderman cake because they didn't have Thomas the Train.

The next day, before the boat we had a do over. We sang happy birthday. . .

. . .ate cake. . .

and pulled his presents out of bags again.

It was a nice little remake of what had turned into such a disastrous party the day before.

Then we headed out on the boat. My Dad hit a post at the gas station with the boat trailer and it bent the fender, so we had to help him bang out the dent before he could move the trailer. But we eventually made it to the lake and had a great time.

We had fun swimming, eating and riding around.

The boys had fun feeding the birds.

Later we came home and put together Little M's new  train set. After he fell asleep the twins decided he should sleep with his new set and took it apart and set it in bed with him.

Little M's birthday started our hard, but it ended nicely. I'm still trying to piece together an afghan quilt for him, so if anyone can crochet or knit, and wouldn't mind making him a square of any size to go on his quilt, let me know :).
