Before You Know it You Need Another Catch Up Post

We are in survival mode here at the Stratton home. We're trying to work on DoTERRA,. I'm taking finals, and writing papers, the boys are getting into mischief and we aren't being very good with staying on track. On top of all that we're watching summer slowly slip through our fingers, and we are trying to catch every last ounce. We've been going to pool a lot. Throwing our hands in the air and just driving to a splash pad. We want to get our "summer" in. Where did time go? Oh right, summer semester.

The 24th

Our 24th wasn't too exciting. We had no money, and no planning. We went to my parents to get in the pool, and I threw together some very random snacks to take: Sweet and Spicy Meatballs, chicken salad wraps, cookies, etc. Craig threw together some Texas Cavier and we headed to the pool. My Aunt, Uncle and Grandma stopped by. It was fun to visit with them.

The boys had fun in the pool. As always.

Then everyone crashed that night while we watched fireworks.

If you haven't heard Baby S is a cheese ball. When he sees a camera he stops and poses. I took a pic with the flash, and as soon as he realized I was holding a camera the cute poses came out.

Parties

We went to an Elder's Quorum party in our ward last week. We played a game I never heard of, Lawn Chess. It had another name too that I can't remember. They did boys against girls and the girls won! Craig joined us at the end. It was a nice evening.

Splash Pad

We headed to another local splash pad. The boys had fun running around screaming. Big H played a game where he would try to escape getting caught in a photo. I ended up with a lot of pics of his little plumbers crack. He has to pick the swimsuit with the worn out elastic every time. Why don't I get rid of it I just don't know.

The boys got bored, "Mom, can we just go to Grandma's or something. Can we just get in the pool." I guess splash pads aren't quite as cool as Grandma's pool. We snapped some fun towel pics and headed to the pool.

Here is one of our Pool trips. Little H swam out to get Baby S when he had drifted away. So cute!

Crawling

Baby S is now crawling. He has an interesting way of doing it too. He keeps one leg tucked in and has this peg leg of a crawl. When I took these pics he would stop and pose each time he saw the flash. And yet, still blurry.

Random

Some fun random shots.

Boys posing in their "bad guys" hat. Little M and Big H.

Little M was thirsty one night so he pulled the milk out of the fridge and just started drinking it. Straight out of the carton.

Little M got attacked by the neighbor girls. They painted his face and he got all dressed up.

This is from a while ago. Big H didn't feel good, so Little H wanted to sit by him and take care of him.

This was a while ago too. I met my cousin at Ikea and the boys thought this shot was funny because it looked like they had lost their head.

Cute boys! Baby S and Big H

I'm running out of ways to style this boys hair. It is getting too long but my mom, and now my aunt, tell me not to cut it at least till he's one.

Baby S playing with my retainers. He actually laid down with me, for a minute.

Baby S in his crib. He can pull himself to standing now, and he is so active he gets himself into all sorts of tangles.

Baby S is a big boy. We haven't been to the Doc lately, but he is like twice the size of some of the other babies his age.

Mini Camping Trip

I've had the awesome opportunity of getting to know some of the most amazing women. Though I have several groups of amazing women friends, this group happens to be my Book Club Group. And on Saturday the 20th they invited me to join them on a little camping expo up Hobble Creek Canyon. It was so much fun. Camping without all the stress.

The boys had so much fun playing in the creek.

They were completely filthy by the end of the night.

The girls brought a bunch of great food to cook in camp fire dinners. We ate, roasted marshmallows and then packed up and went home. It was great! The boys had fun running around and playing with all the kids. And I enjoyed a fun day out with friends. Thanks for giving us an excuse to get out and do something ladies! :)
