Twas the night before Christmas in the Stratton Home
Where children, and parents, waited for Santa to come

When what to their wondering eyes should appear
But presents and gifts brought by Santa and his Reindeer

The stockings were placed in the chairs with care
In hopes of preventing broken items in there

What a wondrous sight for us to see
How generous that Saint Nicholas can be

Now to bed we must go so we may rest
For Christmas morning will truly be best

As morning arose, some children did not
And waiting on one made the fits non stop

But at last we could leave the room to see
What Santa had left for us underneath the tree

Zhu Zhu pets, dolls, a monkey for one
Balls and bats just to name some

A gift I must mention was not a toy
But a blanket to keep this boy full of joy

Now after the presents have all opened been
It's time to grab our stockings and take a look within

Candies and treats to our hearts desire
Of these sweets we hope to never tire

What a wonderful morning, what a mess to clean up
But it's now off to grandma's to share what we got

Now three sleepy boys a nap they must take
before all three on the naughty list make

Now sadly to work Daddy must go
Just look at that fog! Sweetie please take it slow

What a fun evening everyone spent
With grandpa's and grandma's, uncles and aunts

Now it is bedtime and we lovingly wait
For Daddy's return so to home he can take

What a wonderful Morning, what a wonderful day
What wonderful Presents Christmas brought our way

Happy Christmas to all who we love and miss
With love from us all and from the boys a big kiss

Christmas Catch Up

Whew! We've been busy. Time for some Catch up.

Last Sunday Grandma S and Great Grandma D stopped by for a visit. They were headed home after making a trip up here to go to a family reunion. Glad they left that night because the next day the snow started falling.

The boys have been showing of their cute shepherd costumes. First for the Grandma's when they visited.

We took a picture for my Aunt M. She gave them the little sheep.

Yes this shepherd is throwing a tantrum. I guess that's better than throwing sheep which is what the other shepherd was doing.

Now he's getting loves from Grandma

On Wednesday my friend watched Baby M for a night- which turned into two~her request- so I took the boys up to Craig's work to show the residents the cute little shepherds.

We stopped by my mom's work and showed our friend Jodie the costumes as well.

On Monday I welcomed a grand snowfall. It snowed for two days straight, and I loved every minute of it.

Little H gazing out the window at the snow.

On Thursday we took Baby M to see Santa. Then we went back to the mall with my parents for some dinner and some leisurely walking.

Before we sat on Santa's lap he gave us an inside snow storm.

The boys like throwing coins in the fountain. I wonder what they wished for?

After the mall we drove by the Tabernacle that burned down. This makes me so sad. I loved this building! Whenever we had stake conference there I would get so excited to go. It was so beautiful inside. It's just so sad that this had to happen.

I believe that catches us up. Now time for Christmas!

Guthrie Christmas Party 2010

The annual Christmas Party, on my mom's side of the family, was hosted by my brother and sis-in-law this year.

Dinner

Very yummy! They ordered food from Sysco.

We opened presents right after dinner because some of our relatives had to leave to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Concert.

The Nativity

When we were young grandkids we would dress up and tell the nativity story. Now this tradition is passed on to our grandchildren. A little chaotic because they had just opened their gifts. I have different plans for next time that I'm in charge. Plans I should have executed this year, but I just didn't listen to myself.

I DON'T WANT TO BE A SHEPHERD! The boys weren't feeling well- in fact they were worse off then I thought they were- plus he fell of the chair while I was getting him dressed.

Mom, my costume covers my hands! How dare you make it do that! Little H has a thing about his hands being covered.

How sweet is this?!

Mary tending to her baby. She was so sweet with the little babe!

Thanks for the fun party! And thanks for the gifts everyone!
