Cute Catch Up

Another post thats just for me to get some cute pictures up and some cute stories written down. Well cute to me :).

Big H has been obsessed with the sun lately. When it stats getting dark outside he says, "What happened mom? Where did the sun go? What happened?"
I tell him the sun went to the other side of the Earth.
This morning he woke up and said, "Look it's the sun. That's the sun?"

I've said before that Big H really takes on his role as big brother. He sort of puts himself in charge of the other kids. He has even tried to spank Baby M. I told him that's not up to him that's up to mom. Last night I heard him yelling at Little H, "I can't spank you!"
Don't ask me what that was about. But at least he gets spanking isn't up to him.

The boys go with us to the doctor, and we tell them that the doctor is going to look and listen to the baby. Sometimes when we're out and about they say, "I want to go to the baby's."

Baby M is talking more. He says, "I did it," all the time. When he sees a train he says, "Toot! Toot!" And He says, "Ma," when he sees me, Craig or my parents. He's just a doll. He comprehends so much and I find it adorable.

Baby M had a sad first. He's the first of the boys to get stung be a bee. I turned around and he was wiggling, rubbing his arm and starting to cry. He then pointed to the wall and I saw a bee climbing up the trim. I grabbed the fly swatter and killed it-- I almost felt more vengeful towards it than I did towards the ants that were climbing all over Big H at the park. Baby M thought the swatting was pretty funny and went around them house swatting at everything. There's a pic below of his sting. He hardly cried at all.

Little H and I were by ourselves the other night. We got in the car to drive to my parents house to meet up with everyone. Little H wanted to sit in the front, and its only a mile drive so I let him. I needed to top off the air in the tire first though.

It popped coming home from the doctors back in June and since we couldn't afford tires at all, even though we seriously needed to replace all of them, Craig patched it. It held up really well for a month or so, but then developed a slow leak. We would have to fill it up every other day or so but we always waited until it was dire leaving us driving around with anxious pits in our stomachs looking for a gas station with free air. We got in the habit of topping it off twice a day when we passed the places we knew had free air.--

I took neighborhood streets to the gas station, and pulled up to the compressor. Little H opened the glove box, grabbed the tire gage  and handed it to me. I filled the tire up and handed the tire gage back to Little H, who, very nicely, put it back in the glove box.

Little H likes his one on one time. He loves to have mom jump in the pool, or the lake, with him or climb up into play places, or onto big blow up slides, and go down with him. I've had to do all this all while big and pregnant. He's lucky he's cute. He wanted to stay with grandma the other night, but he wanted it to be just him, so he started telling every one to go and get in the car. "Get in the car mom! No you can't stay!"
One time I pulled up to my parents house and both him and Big H started yelling at me, "Go away Mom!"
They hadn't gotten to go to the store with grandma yet and they weren't going to miss out. Makes you feel loved doesn't it?
:)

We often take Craig to work and pick him up. As we pull up to the building they like to yell, "I see it! I see Dad's work!"

The boys like to play roller coaster in the car. When we go down hills or around sharp turns they yell, "Put your hands up!"
Then when its over they say, "I want to do it again."

The boys are quite the cute little handful.  I feel bad they have such a monster mom right now, but they are very forgiving and sweet to me still. Big H often brings me flowers, which I feel like I don't deserve. They also say things like, "You naughty mom!" Or, " You mad at me? You took my movies?" -- this was after a couple weeks of the battle of the naps and I took their movies away. Big H went on about that for a couple days.

Got to love them! :)

Jumpin' Around

On the 9th of August we went to my cousin's son's birthday party. It was at one of those jumping, big blow up, bouncy toys place. The boys loved it!

Little H made me go down a big blow up slide over and over. I drew the line at crawling into the little doors on the bouncy houses.

He then kept insisting that I jump on the giant, inflatable pillow thing. I told him the slide was enough, but I'm just too big of a push over and jumped on the pillow anyway.

We enjoyed some yummy cake. The boys were happily eating The Hulk cake until they noticed the "Super Stars" cake-- Captain America. I told them cake is cake and just to eat what they had, but my aunt graciously cut them a piece of the "Super Stars" cake. If you can spot the picture of them eating it you can see they were thrilled.

Thanks to my cousin for inviting us. We all had a blast!

The Newest Member of the Family is Old News

Old news because its been over 2 months since since she joined our family and I haven't posted about it.

A while back, like the first week of June, we welcomed a new dog into our home. Our hopes with getting a second dog was that she'd keep our current dog company and that she would help out with cleaning the floor. Well she does all of that but she also gets in the garbage, sheds and drags shoes and toys all over the yard/house-- she doesn't chew them just drags them everywhere.

So she's a little annoying but still a good dog. She has helped our other dog's behavior improve quite a bit-- even the neighbors noticed. And the boys love her! The first night she was here they made her a little bed and tucked her in.

Her name is Tinkerbell and I threaten to sell her almost everyday. I think Craig was pretty on board the day she hopped out of the car and ran all the way into the grocery store-- this was made even more fun by the fact that she is only good at  coming to you 50% of the time. But we know she's pretty good and we've learned to live with her less attractive traits. For the most part.

July 24th

These are the only 3 pictures I have from our 24th of July celebrations. Why? Because Craig's sister, Saddie, came to visit, for the 23rd and 24th, and I spent the entire time talking her ear off. Seriously I talk way too much when I finally get some adult interaction. Sometimes I go home and rehearse my conversations over and over again. Analyzing them. Wondering if I sounded like a complete idiot. Asking myself why I couldn't just shut up. Yeah I talked a lot. Into all hours of the night. And I greatly appreciate Saddie letting me gab on. I really enjoyed her visit. And its always fun to have cousins come and play with our over energized boys.

My family planned a small get together at the pool. I wasn't sure what everyone wanted to do that day, but it didnt seem like their was much else going on, so we enjoyed a fun 24th BBQ and some pool time.

Later, Big H requested to go outside and watch fireworks. Little H is still kind of timid about fireworks so he watched a movie. Baby M, always anxious to get outside, joined us for firework watching.

It was a fun celebration, and a fun visit from Saddie.

I wish I could come up with some spiritual thought about the pioneers and all they sacrificed in coming here, but my brain won't allow anything great and expounding to come to the surface right now. It likes to do that to me this pregnancy. My favorite is the toll it takes on my social skills. Seriously, I've completely blanked out during conversations. And my mind, and mouth, cannot form words to answer questions or give input. Its great fun! Just know that our family is truly grateful for the pioneers. Even if I cant greatly express it right now.
