We had fun joining in on the local festivities here. In the morning the boys and I trekked the whole block to see the parade. It's nice to live right in the heart of town.
The boys didn't really have a reaction to the parade, but they did enjoy the free tooth brushes that they got.
After the parade we walked through town to see if there was anything else we could join in on. Then we headed home, so the boys could take a nap.
When they woke up I had plans to head to the carnival, but it decided to rain. . .and rain. . .and rain. Craig came home from class and it was still raining so we waited even longer. Finally it cleared up and we headed out the door.
I thought maybe it would be fun to have the boys ride the merry-go-round, but then I realized Carnivals are expensive.
I thought maybe I could get some funnel cake, but then I realized carnivals are expensive.
So we walked around and just enjoyed looking at the shops and such. Seriously, carnivals are way to expensive.
Craig did play a game.
And won prize for the boys.
But we didn't do much more then that.
Later we decided to head to Spanish Fork to eat at a pizza buffet- we got a coupon at the parade. It was really good, and since it we were there till closing time the owner let us take home some leftovers.
The boys tried mushrooms! Yuck! They weren't big fans.
After pizza we headed back to enjoy the fireworks. We got a great view, and the show was great. The boys really enjoyed there first fireworks show, and Craig enjoyed introducing them to the wonders of pyrotechnics.
All in all in was a very fun day.
