Before there was Twilight there was Tanz Der Vampire the musical. Though it saw much success in foreign lands it was a major flop in the states do to the fact that they turned it into a campy musical comedy. The songwriter even left during the production process because he was so enraged with what they had done.
I know everyone isn't a musical lover, and listening to songs in a foreign tongue isn't always enjoyable, but you should at least listen until you recognize the song- which you will- because it's awesome when you realize what they are singing.
Yes the man who wrote the score is they same man who brought you that famous Bonnie Tyler hit!

I can't believe my eyes!
Shortly after Grandma Dendra rejoined us up North she was greeted with a little surprise!
A lovely snow storm in October!
I couldn't believe it! I can't remember the last time it snowed in October.
The boys loved it. It's funny to know this isn't their first experience with snow, but to them it kind of is.
And each year they'll understand and enjoy it more and more- Until they have to drive in it :)
I love snow around this time of year because it gets me all giddy and excited for the Holidays. It was a great reminder that it is almost Christmas Music time! I start listening the 1st of November. I see no harm in prolonging the Christmas Celebration. It's such a wonderful time of year! And now that I'm older I can't see how celebrating the spirit of Christmas earlier can take away from the spirit of Thanksgiving.
Happy Snow falls to all! No matter how surprising or unwanted they may be!
LET ME IN! IT'S COLD OUT HERE!

October 23, 2010: Witches Night Out
I had made tentative plans to go to witches night out last Saturday, but then I found out that I had been battling a kidney infection all week so I wasn't sure if I felt up to it. Since I had invited my sis-in-law, Jessica, to go with me I decided if she could make it work I'd go.
She called me that day, and next thing I knew I was throwing together a witch costume and we were headed up to Gardener Village.
We couldn't make it up there until 8:00 at night, so we missed Saddie and Dendra, but we did have a pretty good time on our own. It was kid free time at least.
We had to get a pic with this guy and his awesome costume!
The boys went to Pirate Island. Look at my cute little pirate. Doesn't he strike fear in your heart?!
This witches costume made possible by my mom who supplied me with a the skirt, blazer and hat. Thanks mom, I would have been a very bare witch without your help.

What Big Boys We Are!
Sadly I didn't know if I could scrape together the $2.00 I needed to buy the boys trick-or-treat carriers. If we have any money it's going towards diapers, laundry soap, dish soap and bills. But I did want them to have something for their first official trick-or-treat. It was then that I remembered my Aunt had sent them each a dollar in her last letter. Well since they were using their own money I decided they should get to pick them out and pay for them.
Little H go find your shoes(he actually brought them to me)!
Make sure you have your money!
Lets put it in a safe place.
OK boys pick out your pumpkins!
Put them up there so you can pay for them!
Now give the lady your money. . .Not that lady!
Remember Big H, always keep the receipt because you'll never know if you need it(I took this pic because I couldn't get a shot of him when it was his turn to pay do to the person waiting behind me. I think she was getting anxious because she started pushing my cart forward. People at Wal-Mart are no fun!)

My Little Sweetie Pies!
As I was getting the boys ready to go, up to Salt Lake to visit Travis' grave, on Sunday, I realized I had misplaced a son. In fact I hadn't heard a peep from him in while. I was a little worried. What trouble had he gotten into? I started calling his name, but there was no answer. I looked downstairs, but there was no sign of him. "How on Earth could he have gotten out of the house," I thought. Then I walked into the twins room and I beheld the most precious sight in the world.
Big H had crawled into bed and fallen asleep. I don't know why it struck me, but it was so precious I almost cried.
Here's my other sweetheart.
Look at him so big and strong. He sits in the bumbo every so often. I swear sometimes I've given birth to some sort of super hero. He is so incredibly strong! Thankfully this little guy is doing much better. The heartburn medicine has worked like a dream. He drinks the regular formula just fine now, and has even started to poop normal. He has been eating more ounces, and he's not eating so sloppily anymore. Along with the heartburn medicine I've also been giving him two small servings of rice cereal a day. I know, he's way young and it seems odd, but I promise that I would stop if I thought it was hurting him. When I was a baby I was way colicky and my mom said the doctors suggested rice cereal. She mixed it in with my formula, but since Baby M will only eat with a slow flow nipple I can't mix it in. So I just make him a very small and very soupy serving in the morning and at night. He cries sometimes when he eats it which worried me because with the twins if they cried while they ate it usually meant their bodies wouldn't tolerate whatever they were eating. But he seemed perfectly fine, and it hasn't affected bowel movements at all either. One day we had forgotten to give him his heartburn pill and yet he was still as calm as could be with just the rice cereal. I have to say it's such a relief to know he's feeling better now.

Happy Birthday Travis!
His birthday is actually tomorrow, but we decided to visit today. This is who baby M is partly named after- his middle name. He's my mom's little boy from her first marriage. He left this world when he was only 20 months old- it was before my Mom even met my Dad. We stopped by to wish him a Happy Birthday, and to get some pictures of Baby M by his uncles grave.
Craig found this katydid. The boys had fun playing with it- don't worry it survived.
Happy Birthday dear brother! I look forward to meeting you one day.
Dear Mother how I love thee
and wish that I could stay
I wish those tears weren't falling
because I go away
My father calls me home now
to do his work up there
but I promise to be with you
whenever time can spare
I know that you can't see me
or hold me close at heart
I know that makes things harder
while we are a part
But so you will not miss me
so much, this I pray
I'll bless your life with little boys
I'll send them all your way
And as you look upon them
I pray you'll think of me
and all the wonders I am doing
while I wait for thee
Hold me in you heart dear mother
for we know one day
you'll raise me from the babe I was
because I'm yours eternally
and wish that I could stay
I wish those tears weren't falling
because I go away
My father calls me home now
to do his work up there
but I promise to be with you
whenever time can spare
I know that you can't see me
or hold me close at heart
I know that makes things harder
while we are a part
But so you will not miss me

My mom has 7 grandsons now. I thought this was a nice way to look at our blessing of boys.

Just a Little Update!
Does this count as slave labor?
Firefox isn't letting us view videos, and it's also disabling some picture up loaders. If you can't see the video try a different browser.
The boys went to nursery for the first time this week. It didn't work out so well. They were having a hard time, so they came and asked if one of us could go up to nursery with them. Turns out our nursery doesn't have toys. I don't know if our boys are going to stay interested for two hours without toys. Especially so close to nap
time.
Baby M went to the doctor again. We've been having trouble with feedings and we just can't find the right formula- that has two meanings here- that will help him be calm and happy. We've tried the sensitive formulas and we've tried the soy formula- he spit up a lot that day. We even switched to a brand called Nutrimigen as suggested by the doctor. The results weren't outstanding, but he did seem a little better so we decided to stick with it. We'd have good days, and on those days I was hopeful that it was all over, but we still haven't solved the problem.
We've tried different bottles, different binkies, different sleeping positions, you name it. We've tried rotating his hips and rubbing his belly. We tried offering him more to eat, giving him gas drops and gripe water, but most days still end up the same: He takes an hour to eat, an hour to sleep and then he's up again, fussy and uncomfortable.
We took him back to the doctor because his thrush had not gone away yet, and I told Craig to ask and tell him everything about feedings. The doctor said because of his low weight gain we needed to switch him back to regular formula. This was not good news for me.
Craig and my Dad gave him a blessing that he may respond well to the normal formula and it wouldn't cause him pain. Today was a monster of a day though. He was fussy and unhappy. Even worse then usual. We even ventured out and bought the Canadian Gripe Water to see if that would help, but to no avail.
I finally drove him down to the local insta-care because I just didn't feel like I was getting any answers to this problem. There's a doctor there I really like, and I just covered everything I could think of. He suggested putting him on a medication for heart burn to see how he does.
Lets cross our fingers!
Baby M was put on Gerber's website. I don't know if every baby is chosen, but I also submitted a picture of Big H, and so far they've only put Baby M's picture up.
