Art City Days
Art City Days sort of sneaked up on us this year. We didn't get around to participating in anything until Saturday the 9th.
We woke up early and took the boys to the balloon festival. The balloons didn't launch because of the wind, so we saw them as they were starting to take them down.
We then headed over to the Fireman's Breakfast.
Our Bishop is a volunteer fireman, so he made the boys some special pancakes.
Our friends invited us over to watch the parade-- and enjoy a BBQ afterwards.
Another one of Big H's "Take a Picture Mom" moments.
The boys were way into the parade this year. They loved grabbing candy, and the twins loved dancing to the music.
After the parade we enjoyed a BBQ, and some fun with our neighbors. Seriously, the burgers were DELICIOUS!
When we got home the boys crashed!
Later that day our friends, John and Holly and their boys, came into town and we got to visit with them for a while. Then a storm blew in, so we canceled our plans to enjoy the concert and fireworks that night. Instead we camped out downstairs and watched Captain America. The boys LOVED it! Except, according to them, we watched Super Stars-- that's what they insist Captain America's real name is. These superhero flicks, that all came last summer, weren't the greatest movies, but I enjoy them enough. And, seriously, watching them with the boys is like going to Disneyland-- almost :). Next time you're over we'll watch Green Lantern and you'll see what I mean.
