On Saturday, after running some errands and dealing with some drama, Craig and I took the boys up to Sundance so Craig could play with his camera.
There were a lot of people up there. I guess everyone headed to the mountains for the weekend to escape the heat. Luckily some of those people offered to take a family pic for us.
After an hour or so of walking around, without a stroller, we decided to look into riding the ski lift. They said the boys were good to go, so we headed to the car to change diapers and search for blankets. Well, apparently we were quite unprepared for this trip. We didn't have blankets, and we also didn't have bottles. We decided to go ahead and wing it. We found a cloth diaper to sub as a blanket and if the boys got hungry we'd just deal.
The boys ended up being surprisingly calm, and we got to see some gorgeous views. It was a fun and relaxing activity.
We decided to stretch our luck even more and head to The Hub, in Heber, for Dinner. Not having bottles for the boys didn't work out so well. We gave them many foreign foods that night. They had sugar in their cereal because we had no juice, Craig mashed up potatoes from his soup, to try and further occupy them, and we eventually bought them juice and gave them little shots with a medicine syringe. To top it all off, our waitress seemed more interested in getting us out than getting a good a tip. And my long awaited Blondie Sundae did not live up to expectations.
Next time we decide to venture on unprepared we'll at least stop and by some bottles.
